The "LOGOS x Higo Mamoru Knife Aogami Large" is made of Aogami, a type of Yasugi steel that has its roots in tamahagane, a famous material used to make Japanese swords, and a steel material that combines sharpness with good edge retention.
The workshop is located in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, known as a hardware town, and was founded by Komataro Nagao in 1894. The company was founded by Komataro Nagao in 1894, and began manufacturing knives, and later began making "Higo-mamori," which has been made for over 100 years by five generations, with the fifth generation, Mitsuo Nagao, currently carrying on the traditional skills of the company. Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho is the only workshop in Japan that produces Higo-mamori.
