LOGOS×Higonokami Knife Special Handmade

The Higo no Kami, a knife invented in the mid-Meiji period (1868-1912) with a folded blade that can be stored in a sheath, was once used as a cutter knife in today's world. It used to play the role of today's cutter knives, and was a familiar blade widely used in daily life for sharpening pencils and doing small crafts. The Higo Mamoru, developed in collaboration with LOGOS and Nagao Kanegoma Seisakusho, is decorated with the original logo of the collaboration. It will be a special item for outdoor users who love tools and will surely be useful in various outdoor scenes such as outdoor cooking and bushcraft.

The "LOGOS x Higo Mamoru Knife Special Handmade Forging" is not only made of Aogami, which is derived from TAMA-HAGANE, the raw material of Japanese swords, but is also made using a traditional method where the reddened steel is beaten and forged on the fire bed. The beautiful blade patterns that emerge are unique and captivate the viewer's heart.

The workshop is located in Miki City, Hyogo Prefecture, known as a hardware town, and was founded by Komataro Nagao in 1894. The company was founded by Komataro Nagao in 1894, and began manufacturing knives, and later began making "Higo-mamori," which has been made for over 100 years by five generations, with the fifth generation, Mitsuo Nagao, currently carrying on the traditional skills of the company. Nagao Kanekoma Seisakusho is the only workshop in Japan that produces Higo-mamori.
